Celebrate Spring with two great events in Downtown Frederick on Saturday, May 1st!


Mayfest, 10am - 5pm

*Build-a-Bouquet - Collect flowers and Spring Things at participating merchant locations and go home with a beautiful springtime bouquet!

*Children's Activities - Decorate-a-Visor, Make-Your-Own-Flowers, Daisy Chains, decorate a flowerpot photo frame, and more!

*May Baskets! View and bid on decorated May Baskets reflecting the spirit of downtown merchants
(stop by the shop and bid on Tiara Day's basket full of girly girl fun)

*Sidewalk Chalk Art - View beautiful works of art created by local art students on the sidewalks
*Live Music, entertainment and more throughout the day!

May First Saturday, 5pm - 9pm

*Live music featuring the country sounds of the Jenny Leigh Band; First Saturday newcomer, Sahffi; the singer-songwriter stylings of Jonah Sea Knight; and the whimsical sounds of Rick Hill!
* Exhibit openings, guest artists and extended shopping hours to showcase the best of Downtown Frederick!

*Free samples of the Downtowner Sandwich, 5 - 7pm, The Market Bagel & Deli, 36 S Market Street, while supplies last. Celebrate Downtown Frederick Partnership's 20th Anniversary with a bite of this delicious sandwich created by The Market Bagel & Deli. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Downtowner Sandwich during the month of May will benefit the Partnership.
